Volunteer and Community Service Work Period Pantry, 2018 As the President of Interact Club, l am implementing a "Period Pantry" in our school. Baskets are filled with feminine hygiene products for young women and hosted in areas of the school. This is so young women are able to access the necessary products for free. I created this to decrease the amount of women who don't have proper feminine hygiene products due to the costs involved. Many people don’t realize this is indeed a problem in our society. I have organized many fundraising events to raise money for this project and gain support. Elementary Leadership Camp Volunteer, November 2018 I organized and set up this event. I was in charge of a group of elementary students and led them through various tasks that incorporated leadership skills. Blood Drive Volunteer, October 2018 I helped organize and set up a school-wide Blood Drive. I assisted those giving blood and kept track of information to make sure things went smoothly. Trail Days Volunteer, July 2018 I helped serve food to the elderly as they played games and socialized. I also cleaned trash and assisted those who needed help. Children's Relay For Life Camp Leader, April 2018 I set up games and organized supplies for students before the event. I had my own group of students to supervise; I took them to get food and participate in the events while keeping track of them. At the end, I had to make sure they all made it home safely. Then, I helped clean up after the event ended. United Way Door to Door Drive Volunteer, September 2015, 2017, and 2018 I traveled around Washington, Missouri with an adult and other volunteers. We went door-to-door asking people to donate to the Franklin County United Way, which is an organization that raises funds to assist local agencies that give back to the community. Change Drive to Send Rohingya Children to School, March 2018 I organized a two-week-long change drive through Interact club where all the proceeds went to Refugee International to send Rohingya children to school.
